What does Philadelphia’s fast start mean for Ben Simmons?

Daryl Morey and the Philadelphia 76ers’ front-office want an All-Star/championship-level player in return for Ben Simmons and they have not wavered from this mindset.

The Sixers should try to get as much value as they can for Simmons in a trade, but right now, no team in the league is really interested in giving up a lot to get him. A large part of this is because no team in the league is looking to trade their high-level talents just 6-8 games into the new season.

All offseason long, Simmons proved to be a liability with his mindset towards his team and quite honestly, all that media attention that would come with Simmons to a new team would be negative at this point.

Closer to the trade deadline is when we could see teams give into the 76ers demands and more teams around the league could be willing to pay the 76ers’ price, but Morey is not changing his mind on what he wants anytime soon and the Sixers are not coming down on their asking price for Simmons.

LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: 76ers’ Ben Simmons Remains ‘Mentally Not Ready’ To Play

There is no end in sight right now in terms of a Ben Simmons trade and it is actually looking more likely that he will wind up playing in a game for the Philadelphia 76ers before they eventually trade him!

It is inevitable at this point that Simmons will put on another jersey at some point in his career, but in order for him to have trade value, he is going to have to play in Philadelphia again. Teams are going to want to see the All-Star 7-footer play before ultimately trading for him.

After the fans almost ran Simmons out of town and after all that happened in the offseason with management and the 76ers’ players in regards to Simmons, it really does not seem like a good idea to keep the 3x All-Star around any longer, especially with him not wanting to be there mentally.

If a great trade comes the 76ers’ way, then they will pull the trigger on a Ben Simmons trade, but it does not seem like any team in the league right now is willing to offer said package for Simmons.
