Toronto Raptors Receive: G Dejounte Murray
San Antonio Spurs Receive: G Goran Dragic, 2022 First Round Pick, 2023 Second Round Pick
If the Toronto Raptors want to truly improve their backcourt, there is only one player that they can target from San Antonio. Dejounte Murray has looked like the real deal when healthy and could be the centerpiece of this trade.
The Spurs have some depth in the backcourt, which could lead to them making a blockbuster deal. In return, the Spurs would get Goran Dragic and an unprotected 2022 first-round pick.
Dragic is currently playing on an expiring deal and would be able to be flipped for a return from a different team before the NBA trade deadline. Or, the team could later package him with Thaddeus Young to get compensated for taking on a bad contract.
Regardless, the Spurs would already net an unprotected first-round pick and offload future salary spending obligations as the team transitions toward a rebuild.
