Would this trade make sense for the Los Angeles Lakers?

It would make sense for the Chicago Bulls to send Coby White to the Western Conference while getting back some value in a potential trade package. The Los Angeles Lakers could be that team to take a chance on White because of his upside.

Adding White would be a depth move for the Lakers as they look for a backup for Russell Westbrook. These two teams have been linked before and that should not change because the Lakers made a blockbuster at the top of the offense.

Coby White would be able to act as a piece coming off the bench or even play alongside Russell Westbrook off the ball at times. The Lakers need more value contracts on the books and White being on a rookie deal would certainly be an intriguing option with more long-term upside.

Ultimately, this is a low-risk move for the Lakers and it would give them a young player to develop next to some of the top talents in the league.
