Miles Bridges – Charlotte Hornets
Before losing their first game of the season to the Boston Celtics on Monday night, the Charlotte Hornets were 3-0 to begin the year for the first time in franchise history! Terry Rozier has only played in one game for this team due to an ankle injury, but it has not mattered, as the Hornets have looked like one of the best teams in the league.
Many did not think much of the Hornets entering the year, especially after they lost by 68 points to the Dallas Mavericks in the preseason before their season opener, but this young team is “must-see-TV”!
LaMelo Ball has been fantastic and Gordon Hayward has continued to prove why he is an All-Star-caliber forward, but this team is as good as they are because of Miles Bridges.
Every single year Miles Bridges has been in Charlotte, he has improved an area of his game and while he and the Hornets did not reach an agreement on a contract extension prior to the start of the season, he is earning himself a massive paycheck right now.

Through the Hornets’ first four games of the regular season, Miles Bridges has averaged 25.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.3 steals, and has shot 52.9% from the floor, 35.7% from three-point range.
When the Hornets have needed something good to happen on either end of the floor, Miles Bridges has been at the forefront of the action for them and he has put himself near the top of the “Most Improved Player Watchlist” to begin the season.
In fact, those around the league are noticing his play too, as Bridges was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for Week 1 of the 2021-22 NBA season.

Being on a young, athletic team and having the trust of his entire coaching staff, Miles Bridges is already having a career year and it should be very interesting to see if he can keep this up.
With LaMelo Ball being his point guard and being able to get him the ball any time he wants it, Miles Bridges is definitely one of the best breakout performers we have seen so far this season.
