Buddy Hield, Sacramento Kings

Buddy Hield has been one of the biggest trade pieces around the league but he remains in Sacramento. It was assumed that the Kings made Hield available last offseason but the tune changed when Bogdan Bogdanovic went to Atlanta. Hield returned to the starting lineup and Sacramento decided to hang onto him.

The damage might be done and Hield needs a change of scenery. This is a franchise that is in the midst of the longest postseason drought in the league at 15 years. It does not look like it is going to end anytime soon.

Buddy Hield is a sharpshooter that would improve significantly with a win-now team that could use him in different ways. De’Aaron Fox signed a contract extension with the Kings. He is the centerpiece player to build around and Hield does not look like a long-term piece.

There is no doubt that Buddy Hield would be sought after and it will be interesting to see where he is sent.

Buddy Hield has been in Sacramento for too long and it is time that he finds a way to join a contender. This would benefit both Hield and the team that acquires him. As for Sacramento, they need to figure out their direction and commit moving forward.
