The New York Knicks have done a great job under Leon Rose reshaping the roster and compiling assets. They own all of their first-round picks going forward and have added a few more through some trades.
A lot of people expected them to try making a splash this offseason, but the right deal never presented itself. Instead, they retained a lot of the team that got them back into the postseason and upgraded a few spots with Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier.
The Knicks used their cap space, but still have the flexibility to swing for the fences in a trade. Zion Williamson is someone that they could have their eye on in the future.
Williamson has already shared his affinity for Madison Square Garden, the Knicks’ home arena. It is his favorite arena to play in other than his homecourt.

The New York Knicks have his former Duke teammate RJ Barrett whom Williamson forged a great bond and relationship. The two of them would assuredly love to play together again.
There will be some concerns about fit, as Julius Randle is entrenched as the team’s starting power forward. But, in the NBA talent is important and if the Knicks have a chance to upgrade their roster with someone such as Williamson, they will explore the avenues of acquiring him.
