Indiana Pacers Receive: F Marvin Bagley III, C Ivica Zubac, G Keon Johnson, LAC 2022 2nd Round Pick
Los Angeles Clippers Receive: C Myles Turner, F Kelan Martin
Sacramento Kings Receive: G Luke Kennard, LAC 2023 2nd Round Pick, IND 2024 1st Round Pick (Top-8 Protected)
The number one thing to consider when looking at trades involving the Clippers is their potential assets. With no first-round pick until 2027 and virtually no cap space, Los Angeles is going to have a hard time potentially trying to add talent this season, but they do have some moveable contracts on their roster.
Marcus Morris ($15.6M), Luke Kennard ($12.7M), Serge Ibaka ($9.7M), and Ivica Zubac ($7.5M) are all players with tradable contracts and in this three-team deal, the Clippers would be parting ways with both Kennard and Zubac. Luke Kennard is a high-level, 40% or better three-point shooter and Ivica Zubac is a traditional, “back-to-the-basket” type of big man in the paint.
Both guys are definitely contributors for the Clippers, but leveraging their value right now could result in Los Angeles getting one of the best defensive players in the league in Myles Turner.
Indiana does not want to move Turner and they are not actively looking to do so, but if they struggle early on this year, it would not be surprising to see them try and gauge interest for him on the trade market.

Getting Ivica Zubac, a 24-year-old center who would complement Sabonis quite well, is definitely not a bad idea and the Pacers would also be adding a young, athletic talent in Keon Johnson, and a former No. 2 overall pick in Marvin Bagley III.
The inner workings of the Sacramento Kings are a mess right now and it seems like they have screwed up their relationship with Marvin Bagley III. Both his agent and Bagley seem to want out of Sacramento after the team did not include him in their starting lineup and mishandled trade requests throughout the year.
Being in the final year of his rookie contract, Bagley is still a valuable, young forward for a team to add and he could definitely fit in well with the Pacers next to Domantas Sabonis in their frontcourt.

Finding more ways to build for the future is all the Kings can do right now, as they will likely miss the playoffs for a record-breaking 16th consecutive season this year, which is why adding a big-time three-point shooter like Kennard and two future draft picks would be enough value for them to relinquish Marvin Bagley III.
There is a lot to break down about this proposed trade scenario and a lot would need to happen for the three teams to agree to terms, but let’s take a look at this deal from each team’s perspective.
