Myles Turner – Indiana Pacers

Injuries have limited what the Indiana Pacers have been able to achieve throughout the last handful of years and heading into the new season, they still are not healthy.

T.J. Warren is still recovering from foot surgery and now Caris LeVert is dealing with a fracture in his back. This leaves the Pacers with Malcolm Brogdon, Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner as their only reliable contributors.

Trade rumors have always found their way to this Pacers organization and it seems like for years now, Myles Turner has been a hot name in trade talks. The Pacers have not made him available at all and have denied that they have looked to trade him, but at some point, rumors that are constantly around become reality.

For the right price, the Pacers would probably be willing to move Myles Turner, but any potential moves they will make really do revolve around if this team can land Ben Simmons in a trade. The Pacers are a “sleeper” team right now involved in trade talks with the 76ers and out of all the other teams that are interested in Simmons, Indiana really can offer up the best trade package.

Whether it is LeVert, Warren, Brogdon, or a combination of the three, the Pacers have the ability to land Ben Simmons in a potential trade. As a result, any trade involving Myles Turner is a long shot right now.

He is the most moveable player on their roster, both talent, and contract-wise, and Myles Turner should definitely draw trade interest league-wide, so this may finally be the year we see the Pacers move their big man, especially if they land Ben Simmons in a trade.

Who knows, maybe Turner would even be involved in a trade for the Pacers to acquire Ben Simmons with a third or fourth team involved! Myles Turner does not seem like a long-term asset on the Pacers’ roster right now compared to Sabonis, which is why he will likely be moved at some point.
