3. Scottie Barnes Rookie of the Year?
There is a clear-cut favorite to win Rookie of the Year in the NBA this season. Cade Cunningham was the first overall pick in the draft and viewed as a can’t miss Prospect. The Toronto Raptors had the No. 4 pick and opted to go with Scottie Barnes out of Florida State.
Toronto is hoping the Barnes will be worth the chance they took on him. The Raptors decided to go with the Barnes over the lakes of Jalen Suggs. This was a bit of a surprise on draft night but Scottie Barnes is expected to be one of the prospects with an extremely high ceiling.
He has great length and versatility which helps on both ends of the floor. On a team like the Raptors, Barnes will be expected to come in and make an impact right away.
Because of this, he could be a dark-horse candidate for NBA Rookie of the Year.

This is more of a topic of conversation than a prediction but Scottie Barnes will certainly be in the conversation at the end of the year. He is not the betting favorite but there is a chance that he is able to lead the pack once the regular season is complete.
