Brooklyn can get more from their role players/secondary talents than from their three superstars:
Obviously, the Brooklyn Nets would like to see Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving all play together every night, but quite honestly, they don’t really need all three of them to be one of the top teams in the NBA during the regular season.
Come playoff time, they absolutely need all three guys to win a championship, but Kyrie Irving playing 41 games during the regular season would not destroy their season whatsoever.
With Irving out, guys like rookie Cam Thomas, Jevon Carter, Bruce Brown, Patty Mills and other secondary talents would get a lot more playing time, allowing them to gel with the primary talents on this team. You can never have too much depth in the NBA, especially given how frequently stars tend to get injured, which is why Irving sitting out benefits the Nets’ bench.
Getting these guys acclimated to the system early on in the season could result in some losses that would have been wins with Kyrie Irving on the floor, but Brooklyn is not in danger of missing the playoffs because they have one bad game against a random team like the Wizards or Kings. This team could start 3-7 on the year and they would still be a favorite to win the Eastern Conference!

Having their bench step up into a bigger role early on in the season could actually be highly beneficial for the Brooklyn Nets because they will need other guys besides their All-Stars to step up.
The talent on this team is highlighted by Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, James Harden, Joe Harris, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Paul Millsap, but six guys alone do not win a team a championship.

In the end, Brooklyn is going to need Kyrie Irving on the court come playoff time, so they will need to try and get him vaccinated before then if he decides to enter the season unvaccinated, but overall, this is not a terrible thing for Irving nor the Nets right now.
