1. Ben Simmons

The Golden State Warriors are one team that has been in discussions with the Philadelphia 76ers about Ben Simmons. The two sides talked before the 2021 NBA Draft, but the Warriors laughed the 76ers off the phone with what they asked for.

Philadelphia asked the Warriors for Andrew Wiggins, James Wiseman, the two lottery picks in 2021 and two future first-round picks in exchange for Simmons. That deal was declined and it was assumed that trade talks ended there. However, that may not be the case.

There seems to be constant updates involving the Ben Simmons standoff with the Philadelphia 76ers organization. Right now, the Warriors are not in the mix as there are other teams who are more motivated to get a deal done.

The fit for Simmons in Golden State does raise some question marks, as they already have a non-shooting player in Draymond Green. However, when you have two shooters as good as Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, you can figure out a way to make it work.

Ben Simmons could play more of a wing/frontcourt role in Golden State, something that would better suit him. With his reluctance to shoot the ball, putting him closer to the rim will make him tougher to defend and give him some easier shot attempts.
