Minnesota Timberwolves Receive: F Danilo Gallinari, C Gorgui Dieng
Atlanta Hawks Receive: G Patrick Beverley, F Taurean Prince

The Minnesota Timberwolves finally add to the power forward spot they have been looking to shake up in this deal with the Atlanta Hawks. While it isn’t as big of trade as landing John Collins, it still presents a nice addition to the team.

Danilo Gallinari is heading to Minnesota, something that has been rumored for a while now. He would slide right into the power forward spot alongside Karl-Anthony Towns, presenting a nice offensive duo in the frontcourt for the Timberwolves.

Joining Gallinari in Minnesota is Gorgui Dieng. Dieng played the first 6.5 seasons of his career with the Timberwolves after being the No. 21 overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft out of Louisville.

Heading to Atlanta are Patrick Beverley and Taurean Prince. This would be the third time Beverley is traded this offseason, as he began it with the Los Angeles Clippers, was sent to the Memphis Grizzlies, and then re-routed to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Prince would be returning to the first franchise he played for in the NBA as well. He was selected 12th overall in the 2016 NBA Draft and played the first three seasons of his career with the Hawks.
