How This Trade Impacts Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors are in a conundrum when it comes to Andrew Wiggins. If he remains unvaccinated, he will not be allowed to participate in any of their home games. That is not something the Warriors can afford, so finding a trade partner for him might be what is best for the team.
The Indiana Pacers don’t have any state mandates, so Wiggins would be free to continue participating in all the games he is ready and able to do so in. As for Golden State, they would continue bolstering their lineup.
Myles Turner would give them a reliable piece in the middle to allow James Wiseman to develop his skill. Turner is an elite rim protector, leading the NBA with 3.4 blocks per game last season. He can also provide a floor-spacing option in the frontcourt as he is a 35.2 percent shooter from distance in his career.
Turner has shown some diverse offensive game but was unable to showcase it consistently alongside Sabonis. Without him, he could have the chance to do it more often in Golden State.

Jeremy Lamb gives the Warriors another veteran option on the wing, and he can help provide some scoring with the second unit. If his 3-point shooting has improved, as he knocked down a career-high 40.6 percent last season, he gives yet another threat from the perimeter for Golden State.
While this isn’t the blockbuster the team was hoping to be a part of with Wiggins, their plans may have to change. They cannot afford to have a player on the team, especially one as important as Wiggins, be sidelined for half the season while not injured.
