2. Dallas Mavericks

All offseason the Dallas Mavericks have been looking for a secondary ball-handler to pair with superstar Luka Doncic. They have been unable to accomplish that goal yet, as they changed their plans and focused on other skill sets to upgrade the roster in free agency.

Defense and 3-point shooting is what they targeted instead. Reggie Bullock, Sterling Brown, and Frank Ntilikina will help in those two areas. But, none have shown an ability to consistently help out when it comes to handling the ball or running creating off the dribble.

Kyrie Irving is as good as they come with the ball in his hands. He would give the Dallas Mavericks a dynamic backcourt partner for Doncic to run with. The team had hoped that Kristaps Porzingis would be the sidekick to Doncic, but he has failed to live up to those expectations.

With Irving on board, the Dallas Mavericks would be able to challenge some of the upper echelon teams in the NBA. Their offense would once again be top-notch and they made some additions that will help improve the team defensively.
