Budding Young Backcourt
All the time, Darius Garland finds himself making plays for not only himself but the rest of his teammates, including the likes of Collin Sexton, who has led the Cleveland Cavaliers in scoring the last two seasons.
If the Cavaliers are going to have a chance to make a real run at earning a playoff spot, then their young talents are going to have to continue to step up in big ways, including Darius Garland.
Believe it or not, while they have finished the last three seasons with a sub-40% win percentage, Sexton and Garland do makeup one of the better scoring backcourts in the league when healthy. Last season, these two young guards combined to score 41.7 points per game, which accounted for roughly 40.2% of the Cavaliers’ total scoring output per game.
These two also combined to shoot 46.5% from the floor and 38.3% from the three-point range last year, giving this organization a lot of faith that Collin Sexton and Darius Garland can lead the Cavs to the playoffs.
