Would this trade make sense for the Dallas Mavericks?

When a team is looking for a championship, they have to have the right pieces in place they want to be there. The Dallas Mavericks are looking to improve moving forward and they have to have everybody on board.

Luka Doncic recently signed his max extension, which means he is going to continue to be the centerpiece of Dallas for a long time. Now, it’s about winning at a high level to keep him around. There are valid questions about whether Kristaps Porzingis is a long-term answer as his co-star.

Tim Hardaway Jr. also signed a contract in free agency that will bring him back for four more years. The Mavericks have their pieces in place and good luck to get a return on Kristaps Porzingis.

The main appeal of this NBA trade scenario would be Kyle Kuzma to see if he can make strides in his development playing alongside Luka Doncic. The team would need to make an upgrade at the center spot at some point after moving Porzingis, however.
