The NBA offseason is well underway and there are still many big-name players at the forefront of the conversation. This includes Kristaps Porzingis of the Dallas Mavericks. He will continue to be brought up in trade rumors until Dallas makes a decision. Until then, teams like the Washington Wizards could be seen in conversation.

Dallas originally brought Porzingis to town to pair with Luka Doncic and build a postseason team. That has happened as the Mavericks have been in the playoffs in each of the last two seasons.

The Mavericks have been unable to advance out of the first round but they have turned into a team that is expected to compete every season. When factoring in how Porzingis struggled in Dallas’ latest playoff run with his injury history, could the trade route be explored in the near future?

The Wizard could be that team depending on what they do with Bradley Beal. He has not been moved just yet and by what he has said in public, does not want to be. Washington could end up sending Beal away and jumping into this is a team that has not completed in many years.

Despite a postseason appearance this year, they were not taken seriously as a contender. Russell Westbrook is now with the Los Angeles Lakers and Beal could be on his way out next.
