Ben Simmons – Philadelphia 76ers

Ben Simmons wants out of Philadelphia, and the 76ers do not want to trade him. Now, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that Simmons is prepared to sit out of training camp and potentially the start of the season if the Sixers do not trade him, fully knowing that he will get fined upwards of a million dollars in total.

This “cat and mouse” game between the Simmons and Sixers to see who is bluffing is starting to get old, and we want to see them trade him already!

The 3x All-Star is not a guy the 76ers want to trade away for nothing, which is why this process has been long and drawn out, but now with Philadelphia wanting Ben Simmons back, there is no telling what could happen here.

We could see the 76ers trade, Ben Simmons tomorrow, or we could even see him be on their roster still near the trade deadline! Who knows what will transpire over the next few weeks regarding Ben Simmons trade talks, but one thing we do know is that the Minnesota Timberwolves do still want to trade for Simmons.

LATEST NBA NEWS: Everything To Know About Latest Ben Simmons NBA Trade Rumors

Minnesota has D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, and Jaden McDaniels as their three best assets to offer up, outside of Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns, who are off-the-table in trade discussions. Still, the 76ers have been unwilling to hear offers revolving around these three guys.

A three-team or more trade seems like the only way the Timberwolves will end up with Ben Simmons, as they would reroute Russell, Beasley, and McDaniels elsewhere to get Philadelphia the assets they want in return, but what do they even want right now?

LATEST NBA NEWS: Everything To Know About Latest Ben Simmons NBA Trade Rumors

The 76ers turned down an offer of Malcolm Brogdon and a first-round pick from Indiana for Ben Simmons earlier this offseason, and with no other teams willing to put their All-Star(s) up for sale, the Sixers are kind of stuck right now.

Out of all the teams that could trade for Simmons, the Timberwolves are in a firm position right now, given the assets and draft picks they can offer to acquire him. Still, at the same time, the Philadelphia 76ers hold all the cards in negotiations, so as far as we know, Minnesota could be at the bottom of the Sixers’ list in terms of trade partners right now.
