Need a trade proposal that is a little bit crazier, well how about a three-team trade then? The San Antonio Spurs are one of the teams that have been rumored to have interest in Ben Simmons, and they have a lot of young assets to offer up, which is why they could potentially pull off a surprising deal.

Due to them having Embiid and coming off a season in which they were the 1-seed in the Eastern Conference, the 76ers want an All-Star-level player in return for Ben Simmons, which the Spurs do not have, but Dejounte Murray and Thaddeus Young definitely bring value to Philly.

Dejounte Murray is coming off his best year in the NBA, where he averaged 15.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 5.4 assists. Plus, Murray is an above-average perimeter defender that averaged 1.5 steals per game last season which led the San Antonio Spurs by a wide margin. Now set to begin his fifth season on the court, Murray is everything the 76ers should want in a young guard to replace Simmons.

Thaddeus Young is now 33-years-old and nearing the end of his career at this point, so he is definitely not the ideal player to get in return for Ben Simmons from the 76ers’ point of view, but he is coming off a very impressive season in which he did a little bit of everything with the Bulls.

Young averaged 12.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.1 steals while shooting 55.9% from the floor, making him a very solid second-unit frontcourt option for the Sixers.

Drew Eubanks is likely a guy that the 76ers would waive to save some tax money, but a deal of Murray, Young, and draft picks for Simmons is not a terrible trade for the Sixers whatsoever. They address some needs on offense and get better overall defensively, which is why Philly could actually view this proposal as one of the better deals they can get for their 3x All-Star.
