Orlando Magic Receive: G Buddy Hield
Sacramento Kings Receive: G Gary Harris, 2022 Second-Round Pick, 2022 Second-Round Pick (via IND)
In this deal, the Orlando Magic and Sacramento Kings make a swap that would be reasonable for both sides. The Magic are receiving shooting guard Buddy Hield.
Hield has been on the trade block for a while now. He was almost traded to the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this offseason for Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, and the No. 22 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. But, that deal fell through at the last minute when the Lakers decided to acquire Russell Westbrook from the Washington Wizards instead.
In this scenario, Hield heads to Orlando. Coming back to Sacramento is Gary Harris and two 2022 second-round picks. One via the Kings and the second via the Indiana Pacers. Harris was acquired by Orlando at the deadline in the Aaron Gordon deal.
For the Magic, this trade adds a lot of long-term money, but Hield would be a good fit for their current team.

Orlando is devoid of any real shooting threat, especially in their backcourt. They have a lot of young, intriguing guards in Markelle Fultz, Cole Anthony, RJ Hampton, and Jalen Suggs, but none of them are a real threat from the 3-point line. Hield would more than make up for that.
Hield is a 40.6 percent 3-point shooter in his career and he does it on high-volume. He would help open things up for the Magic offensively so that their explosive guards can get to work attacking the basket without the lane being clogged up.

This would be a worthwhile move for the Magic as they could use another guy that can fill it up from distance. It would also enable them to field offers for Terrence Ross knowing they have a potential replacement in Hield to play with the second unit.
