New York Knicks Receive: G CJ McCollum, C Cody Zeller
Portland Trail Blazers Receive: G Evan Fournier, C Nerlens Noel, F Kevin Knox, 2022 First-Round Pick
The New York Knicks make a bit of a splash trade with this deal with the Portland Trail Blazers. Their offensive attack is upgraded in a major way with the acquisition of CJ McCollum.
McCollum is one of the best shooting guards in the NBA with an explosive offensive game. He is a three-level scorer coming off a career-high 23.1 points and 4.7 assists per game. Coming along with him to New York is Cody Zeller, whom Portland signed to a veteran’s minimum contract in free agency.
Headlining the package to Portland would be Evan Fournier, the team’s big free-agent acquisition. Joining him is Nerlens Noel, whom New York re-signed this offseason. He is one of the premier defensive centers in the NBA.
Portland will also be getting a look at Kevin Knox II, who has immense potential but has not been able to figure things out consistently with the Knicks. A clean slate and being out of the bright lights of New York could do him some good.

The 2022 first-round pick is the Knicks’ selection. That would give Portland another chance at landing a young player to upgrade their roster with or as an asset to add into a trade package.
