Options In The Eastern Conference
The two other Eastern Conference teams in the Cavaliers and Raptors could potentially put together some lucrative deals for the 76ers to consider. Cleveland has Collin Sexton, a young scorer, the Sixers, should have interest in adding to their backcourt, but they also have Kevin Love, who may actually be the key to getting a deal done.
Kevin Love will be entering his 14th season in the NBA and is now 33-years-old, but he is owed $60.2M over the next two seasons.
This is definitely not a favorable contract for any team in the league to take on, but in regards to the 76ers and them wanting to contend for a title, Love brings a lot to the table in terms of experience and skill if he can stay healthy.
Through 7 seasons in Cleveland, Kevin Love has played quite well actually, averaging 16.9 points, 9.8 rebounds, and shooting 37.4% from three-point range while helping the Cavs win their first title in 2016. Last year was a down year for the veteran forward, but he was injured most of the year, so you cannot necessarily say he is “washed” yet.

Kevin Love could still have some great basketball left in him late in his career, and given his expertise, the 76ers could actually benefit from adding him in a deal that would consist of Collin Sexton, and draft picks from the Cavaliers. His contract is not favorable one bit, but then again, neither is Simmons’ contract if he sits out in Philly.
The Toronto Raptors not only have Pascal Siakam as an All-Star forward to offer up in trade packages for Ben Simmons, but they have Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby, and Goran Dragic all as possible trade pieces as well.

Nobody really knows what to expect from Toronto right now, especially after they just lost their heart-and-soul in Kyle Lowry this offseason. They could once again prove to be real playoff threats in the Eastern Conference, but the Raptors are coming off a 27-45 season, so any potential move is on the table right now for them.
