One Player Los Angeles Lakers Should Keep An Eye On
After the Los Angeles Lakers’ barrage of signings early in free agency, they were left with 12 players on the roster. The signings of Rajon Rondo and DeAndre Jordan put them at 14, which is what they want heading into the regular season.
It would not be surprising if another move were made in the coming weeks. Los Angeles had been looking for a point guard and a wing player to round out their roster, heading into training camp.
Rajon Rondo checked off the point guard box, but DeAndre Jordan did not check the box as a wing player. With Jordan joining Marc Gasol and Dwight Howard on the depth chart at the center spot and Anthony Davis expected to play more minutes there, something’s gotta give.
If Gasol is on his way out, one player, the Lakers, could look to trade him for is Josh Jackson of the Detroit Pistons. Jackson would fit the bill as a versatile wing player that Rob Pelinka wanted to round the roster out with.

Jackson was the fourth overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, but things haven’t panned out exactly as planned. The Lakers would be his fourth team in five years should he be acquired in a trade.
The Pistons, who are in the midst of a rebuild, might take two second-round picks with Gasol for Jackson, who is on an expiring contract.
Let’s take a look at why Josh Jackson is someone the Los Angeles Lakers should target.
