One Player The Boston Celtics Should Target

The Boston Celtics should once again be right in the thick of the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference. They are in that second tier below the Milwaukee Bucks, Brooklyn Nets, and Philadelphia 76ers.

Boston will be battling it out with the Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Atlanta Hawks, and Chicago Bulls to avoid the NBA Play-In Tournament.

With that in mind, they will likely be on the hunt to upgrade the roster at some point between now and the NBA Trade Deadline. As things are currently constructed on the roster, the power forward spot could use a little upgrade.

Unless Ime Udoka plans to use Jayson Tatum there for the bulk of his minutes, the position needs some help. Al Horford, Grant Williams, Jabari Parker, and Juancho Hernangomez are the other options for minutes there.

Those players are better suited for reserve minutes, especially someone such as Horford, who could be asked to help at the center spot. One player who would fit the bill is Memphis Grizzlies forward Kyle Anderson.

Anderson is a solid combo-forward that does a little bit of everything. There isn’t a single skill that he is elite at, but there isn’t anything that he will hurt a team because of either. He knows what it takes to win and would bolster the team’s weakest spots on the roster.

Let’s take a look at why the Boston Celtics should monitor Kyle Anderson.
