Relieve The Roster Logjam
The Washington Wizards added a lot of players to the roster that will bolster their rotation this season. However, they cannot all get playing time. Relieving some of the logjams at the forward spots to upgrade another position on the roster makes sense.
The Wizards have Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Kyle Kuzma, Rui Hachimura, Deni Avdija, Corey Kispert, and Davis Bertans for the small forward and power forward spots. In some situations, Montrezl Harrell can also provide some minutes at power forward.
There is just no possible way for new head coach Wes Unseld Jr. to fit all of those players into a rotation. While it is nice to have depth in case of injury or a player being ineffective, the Wizards would be better off reallocating some of those assets and balancing out the roster.
Different combinations of the players mentioned above can match salary with the Indiana Pacers to obtain Myles Turner. But, there are restrictions on when some of them can be moved, as the players acquired from the Lakers are not allowed to be traded again until September 27th.

Indiana could use some help in the frontcourt, namely power forward, as Domantas Sabonis would likely take over at the center spot if Turner is dealt. There is a match to be made here, and sure the Washington Wizards pursue Turner.
