The Philadelphia 76ers are going to see an era come to an end sooner. The Process, as they were called, will be no more in the coming weeks because NBA All-Star Ben Simmons will be on the way out of town.
Simmons has cut off any communication with the organization, as everything is going through his agent, Rich Paul. Tyrese Maxey has been dragged into the fiasco, as Paul also represents him and wants all of his clients out of Philadelphia.
So, there are certainly some issues that need ironing out. While it is hard to envision Maxey being traded, as the 76ers were reluctant to include him in deals for James Harden or Kyle Lowry, Simmons is as good as gone.
He has made it very clear he no longer intends to suit up for Philadelphia, and trading him is the best course of action. But that is easier said than done.

Ben Simmons’ value is as low as it has ever been in his career. His reluctance to shoot the ball, even while at the rim, late in games was a big reason the Atlanta Hawks defeated the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round of the playoffs.
Trying to find common ground in trade talks won’t be easy, but it is certainly possible. With a long list of teams that are interested in him, there is one dark-horse team to keep an eye on.
