Memphis Grizzlies
The Memphis Grizzlies have made a lot of trades this offseason. All in all, they have completed five trades thus far this offseason. But, they will be making, even more, moves in the coming weeks.
The Grizzlies have 17 players on the team with guaranteed contracts currently after they agreed to a buyout with Rajon Rondo. That number needs to drop down to 15 by the time the regular season rolls around whether it is by more buyouts, some players being waived, or trades.
If the Grizzlies are going to make more trades, they should check in on Buddy Hield. Hield’s 3-point shooting would be an asset for the Grizzlies, as they ranked 20th in the NBA in 3-point percentage. They were 24th in makes and 23rd in attempts during the 2020-21 season.
Hield would help improve both of those numbers, as he is a 40.6 percent 3-point shooter in his career. The 39.1 percent that he shot this past season, which was tied for a career-low for him, would have been tied for the fourth-best percentage on the team.

The Grizzlies can make things work salary-wise if they packaged Dillon Brooks and Kyle Anderson, two players reportedly available for the right price, together. Or, to get all the way down to the 15 player limit, Brooks, Tyus Jones, and John Konchar can be traded for Hield.
