Damian Lillard to New Orleans Pelicans

Another player who continues to be questionable loyal to the organization that drafted them is Damian Lillard. It’s commendable for Lillard to defend the Portland Trail Blazers, but when the franchise fails to deliver on creating a winning culture, then it’s time to do what’s best for you.

Damian Lillard has made it clear he has no intentions of leaving Portland just yet as he and CJ McCollum remain as one of the best backcourt duos in the NBA.

After what could be described as a disappointing offseason for the Trail Blazers, Damian Lillard would be best requesting a trade to a new team. The Philadelphia 76ers would be an ideal landing spot, but it’s unknown if Portland would take Ben Simmons.

While it wouldn’t guarantee him a shot at a championship, it would be exciting to see him join forces with Zion Williamson on the New Orleans Pelicans.

A trade for Damian Lillard would likely include Brandon Ingram, Kira Lewis Jr., and/or draft picks. There’s no doubt a trade for Lillard would convince Williamson to remain a member of the Pelicans for years to come.
