Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets were the team that LaMarcus Aldridge wanted to go to once he was bought out by the San Antonio Spurs. It is only right that the two sides reunite if Aldridge decides to come out of retirement.

Blake Griffin is back in Brooklyn and Aldridge could be the other veteran forward returning to the Nets. This would benefit both sides. Brooklyn would get some much-needed depth in the frontcourt and Aldridge would join a team that is going to be favorites to win a title next season.

The Nets signed DeAndre Jordan in the same offseason that they added both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. This move did not workout in the same way.

Jordan was delegated to a bench role during the postseason and the two sides could be close to a split. This would leave the Nets with even less depth in the frontcourt. They have the starpower to compete but Aldridge would just take that to the next level.

Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, along with James Harden, do not need much more help but it was clear during the regular season that they were in on all veteran names. If that is still the case, Aldridge could have a return trip to Brooklyn this offseason.
