LaMarcus Aldridge
NBA Analysis Network

LaMarcus Aldridge has been through it all over the past year. Most recently, he was forced to retire from the NBA because of an irregular heartbeat. In recent weeks, there have been talks that Aldridge could be looking to return to the league. If this is the case, there will be plenty of teams interested in signing him this offseason.

Aldridge has been one of the top forwards in the league during his time. He made a living off his midrange game and can still knock down an open jumper. He was in a difficult situation with the San Antonio Spurs. This was a franchise looking to move on from some veterans and get younger.

Aldridge was the first player moved after he agreed to a buyout. He was quickly signed by the Brooklyn Nets but spent just a few weeks with the team before retiring.

If he wants to return, it is likely that the 36-year-old forward will want to join a team that is close to winning a championship.

Holding championship aspirations makes his options limited but there is still some great value around a veteran forward like Aldridge that can provide minutes off the bench, or even in a starting role. He would lead this category and would be affordable at the same time.

When looking around the league, it will be interesting to see which teams are in on Aldridge if he does indeed come out of retirement. These three teams could be near the top of the list for LaMarcus Aldridge in free agency.
