Paul Millsap – Forward
In terms of experience and pedigree, the best player now available in free agency is veteran big man Paul Millsap. Now 36-years-old and through 15 years in the NBA, it seems like Millsap will be hanging up his jersey soon and retiring, but he may not do so until he has one last shot to win a title.
Originally beginning his career with the Utah Jazz and after spending 7 seasons in Salt Lake City, Paul Millsap went to the Atlanta Hawks and he quickly became one of the better power-forwards in the league.
All four seasons he was with the Hawks, Millsap was an All-Star and he even helped lead the Hawks to the 1-seed in the Eastern Conference during the 2014-15 season, only to lose to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers 4-0 in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Paul Millsap has since spent the last four seasons in Denver, helping the Nuggets build themselves into a true contender in the Western Conference, but after signing Jeff Green this offseason and bringing back JaMychal Green, the Nuggets do not have room for Millsap anymore.

As mentioned earlier, Millsap is now 36-years-old and nearing the end of his career, so whatever team he signs with, it is most definitely going to be a team that has a real shot to contend for a title.
The Lakers, Heat, Bulls, Warriors and Nets are five teams who have shown interest in the veteran big man and could look to add him to their roster at some point.

Maybe he will not sign until midseason to get a better idea of who is legit and who is not, but overall, Paul Millsap will be signed by a team at some point and he will get one last chance to contend for a title. It would not be surprising if he retires at the conclusion of the 2021-22 season.
