Rajon Rondo
The options will be limited when it comes to making trades for the Los Angeles Lakers. Unless they want to part ways with LeBron James or Anthony Davis, they will not be able to make a trade until early November when the restrictions are lifted from recently signed players.
Marc Gasol could be used in a deal, but given how small his contract is, there likely isn’t much the Lakers will be able to do with it. Instead, they can wait until the regular season to make a move, if need be.
The one player they should keep their eye on in this situation is Rajon Rondo. Rondo was recently traded from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Memphis Grizzlies, but it sounds as if he won’t be suiting up with the team.
This could be a similar situation to what the Grizzlies recently went through with Andre Iguodala. Iguodala never reported and waited for a move by Memphis, whether it was a trade or buyout.
