Cedi Osman – Cleveland Cavaliers – 2021-22 Salary: $8.1M
One intriguing name that could be of use to the Dallas Mavericks as time goes on through the 2021-22 season is Cedi Osman. Over the last four years, Osman has seen his role with the Cavaliers expand, but the recent emergence of Isaac Okoro and Larry Nance Jr. returning from injury could wind up pushing Osman out of the Cavs’ rotation.
He does have three years left on his contract worth $22.2M, with the final year of his deal being a non-guaranteed clause, but he could definitely prove to be useful in the Mavs offensive attack. In 261 career games with the Cavaliers, Cedi Osman has averaged 9.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and has shot 34.7% from three-point range, giving the Mavs another threat on the wing.
While he is definitely not the kind of player Dallas will view as a franchise-altering talent with their trade exception, he is definitely a guy that can help provide more depth and scoring on the wing.
Who knows what Cleveland would want in return for Cedi Osman, but it definitely should not be much since they have other young talents that they are moving forward with on their roster.

If Dallas strikes out on trying to trade for other guys higher up on their list with their 11.9M TPE, then they could very much look to trade for a guy like Osman, who can join the Mavericks roster and be a solid bench option for them to turn to when needed.
