Would this trade make sense for the Oklahoma City Thunder?
When looking at this deal for the Oklahoma City Thunder, it all depends on their plan for Myles Turner. The fact that there are options already makes it a benefit for a rebuilding team. We have seen Sam Presti make moves in different ways over the years and that could continue in this deal with the Pacers.
If Turner is kept in the rotation, he is a productive player. He led the league in blocks this past season and proved to be a true rim protector.
On the offensive end of the floor, Turner’s game is improving from the midrange. He can rebound on both ends and is beginning to incorporate a jump shot into the mix.
The fact that Oklahoma City is parting ways with draft picks could hints that they plan on keeping Turner long-term. If not, he is a valuable piece in another deal to get the assets back.

Oklahoma City has loaded up on draft picks and young talent over the years. At some point, Presti has to acquire some big-name players in hopes of competing in the Western Conference. This could be one of those deals to help balance out the rotation a bit.
