The Oklahoma City Thunder have been loading up on assets in different ways over the last few NBA seasons. A lot of this has happened through trades. We saw that happen again offseason and it could continue in this deal with the Indiana Pacers.

Oklahoma City acquired Kemba Walker from the Boston Celtics but both sides knew this was not a long-term arrangement. The Thunder acquired a draft pick in the deal as well and agreed to a buyout with Walker.

Sam Presti has been interested in loading up on assets and has done a tremendous job. He clearly has a plan and it will have to go into motion at some point moving forward.

As for the Pacers, they are another team that has been busy in the trade market but they are sending players away. Victor Oladipo was the first to be traded at the beginning of the season.

This is because the front office of Indiana could decide to blow it up a bit after an underwhelming season that saw them miss the playoffs.
