Golden State Warriors
This is probably a long shot, but how great would it be to see Monta Ellis get a chance at rekindling his NBA career with the team that it all began with, in the Golden State Warriors? Ellis was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks during the 2011-12 season. That move paved the way for Stephen Curry to spread his wings and the rest is history.
It would be a great story to see Ellis head back to the Warriors and be part of a contending team. They made the postseason only once, in 2007, with him as a member of the team.
Ellis had some excellent seasons with the Warriors, who selected him with the 40th overall pick in 2005. He averaged 19.6 points per game during his tenure with the team, adding 4.4 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game.
He averaged a career-high 25.5 points with the Warriors during the 2009-10 season and led the NBA in minutes per game that season and the following campaign as well.

Seeing him get a chance to close his career on a high note with the organization that selected him into the NBA would be a fitting end for Ellis.
