Would this trade make sense for the Denver Nuggets?
The Denver Nuggets made a trade at the NBA trade deadline during the season that helped catapult them into the third spot in the conference. They acquired Aaron Gordon from the Orlando Magic and this helped right away. Now, they could use an offseason move to fill a hole and help during the regular season.
Denver has pieces in place but it will be difficult for them to remain consistent without Murray at the top of the offense. Jokic and Murray feed off each other on the offensive end and this is something the team will miss. This is where the front office could find a replacement.
If Murray returns later in the year, especially for the postseason, this means they will be loaded at point guard. Terry Rozier is a scoring guard that knows how to play with other stars.
Rozier is a starting-caliber point guard that would not cost the Nuggets much. He is a short-term option that could step in at the top for Murray while he is on the shelf.

This is the perfect deal for the Nuggets. Rozier would not be a long-term replacement for Murray. It would simply be a fill-in while Murray is hurt and when he comes back, there is a chance for Denver to use both in creative ways. This will help immensely come the postseason.
