Would this trade make sense for the Philadelphia 76ers?
Daryl Morey came to the Philadelphia 76ers and made immediate changes. He put shooters on the perimeter and this took the team to another level immediately. When looking at the stars in Philly, it made sense to load up on three-point shooters and they can continue to do so here.
Seth Curry was one of the most important players for the Sixers down the stretch of the season and in the playoffs. He’s a player the team needs to keep and not go the route of the Dallas Mavericks, who traded him during the 2020 NBA Draft.
It would not hurt to have another perimeter threat that can take a high-volume of shots from beyond the arc. Gordon brings strengths to the two-guard spot, too, so he can guard bigger players that could potentially pose some challenges to Curry.
Gordon has plenty of experience in the postseason and would give Philadelphia another option towards the end of games. Keep in mind, he’s a high-volume perimeter shooter but isn’t limited to just that. He can attack out of ball screens and off-the-catch.
