Philadelphia 76ers Receive: G Bradley Beal
Washington Wizards Receive: G/F Ben Simmons, G Tyrese Maxey, PHI 2022 1st Round Pick (Unprotected), PHI 2023 1st Round Pick (Swap, More Favorable to WAS), PHI 2023 2nd Round Pick, PHI 2027 1st Round Pick (Unprotected)

Much like trading for Damian Lillard, it seems equally unlikely that the Philadelphia 76ers would be able to pull off a trade for Bradley Beal. While Washington did trade away Russell Westbrook after just one season, the Wizards feel that they have a better team now than they did last season and Beal tends to agree, at least right now.

The Wizards’ All-Star shooting guard has remained loyal to his team for years and has stated that he wants to win in Washington, but does he actually want to do this? Of course every player wants to win, but to me, I believe Beal is just holding out until he is up for a max contract extension.

Seeing as he did not agree to a contract extension with the Wizards this offseason, it seems extremely likely that Bradley Beal is waiting for a five-year, roughly $235M deal that the Washington Wizards can offer him next offseason. Waiting for the money seems like what is happening in our nation’s capital in regards to Beal, which is why Philly likely has no shot to pry him away in a Ben Simmons trade.

Adding Beal to this 76ers team though would surely be something special. Him and Joel Embiid are both All-Star talents that are some of the best in the league at their respective positions and Tobias Harris is coming off one of his best seasons in the league.

Philadelphia has acknowledged that their championship window has gotten smaller this offseason with the Heat and Bulls becoming forces in the Eastern Conference, as well as the Nets and Bucks not going anywhere, which is why they have to try and make a move for a big-time player like Bradley Beal.

This trade would absolutely be a “dream scenario” for the 76ers if they were to trade Ben Simmons in the coming weeks, but it seems very unlikely that Bradley Beal is available at this time, unless the Wizards would be getting a young, generational talent like Trae Young or Luka Doncic is exchange.
