The Miami Heat did a lot of work revamping their roster this offseason. The biggest addition they made was signing Kyle Lowry away from the Toronto Raptors. The deal was finalized as a sign-and-trade, sending Goran Dragic, Precious Achiuwa and a future second-round pick to the Raptors in exchange for Lowry.

In addition to Lowry, the team also signed P.J. Tucker away from the Milwaukee Bucks and Markieff Morris away from the Los Angeles Lakers, bringing plenty of championship experience to the roster. Kevin Love would be another shrewd addition that would provide even more of that experience.

The Heat lost a lot of depth this offseason. In addition to Achiuwa, the team also saw Andre Iguodala, Trevor Ariza and Nemanja Bjelica depart in free agency.

Dewayne Dedmond was re-signed, but depth was an issue for the Heat behind Bam Adebayo last season. Adding another player like Love to the mix would help ensure that isn’t an issue again this season.

Love would provide an added dimension to the Heat’s frontcourt as someone capable of spacing the floor. He would make for a good pairing alongside Adebayo given his offensive abilities and Adebayo’s stellar defense.
