#1 Lauri Markkanen – Previous Team: Chicago Bulls*

*Note: Markkanen is a restricted free agent whose rights are owned by the Bulls

Of course, Lauri Markkanen checks in at #1 on this list because he is the only player still remaining in free agency who can still be a high-level starter. What has transpired with the young forward is actually quite interesting because his stats through his first four seasons in the league are very impressive.

Markkanen has averaged 15.6 points, 7.1 rebounds and has shot 36.6% from three-point range as a 7-foot power-forward. Pick-and-roll basketball is where the former Bulls big man thrives, especially given his ability to step out on the perimeter.

Ahead of the 2020-21 season, Lauri Markkanen and the Bulls discussed a contract extension that would keep him in Chicago for the next four seasons, but Markkanen wanted more money than what was being offered, which is presumed to be around $15M per year.
