Would this trade make sense for the Cleveland Cavaliers?

There is a certain concern that Gordon Hayward could bring to the Cleveland Cavaliers because of his injury history. That continued this season as he played just 44 games in his first with the Hornets. This can be viewed as a high-risk move for Cleveland that could potentially give them a high reward.

Sexton has taken the next step offensively for the Cavaliers. He takes a ton of shots but can put the ball in the basket. He will have to be a bit more passive with some more firepower on the team and would have to as well if Hayward came to town.

He would bring experience and leadership to an extremely young team. The Cavaliers built their frontcourt this offseason while the backcourt looks promising, if they are kept in place.

Hayward would take over as a scoring threat and big-game player if he is able to stay on the floor. Adding more perimeter scoring firepower will be important with a two-big lineup.

Cleveland has been near the bottom of the Eastern Conference for years now and that is not looking like it is going to change unless they add another star. They have the pieces to rebuild but it will still take some time. This is a trade that could point them in the right direction.
