Would this trade make sense for the Minnesota Timberwolves?
It might be time that the Minnesota Timberwolves decide to blow it up a bit and go even deeper into their rebuild. Towns has been the franchise player in Minnesota and signed a max contract to remain with the team. At some point, patience has to be growing thin on both sides and they could decide to split.
Towns has incredible value with his age and the type of player he has turned into. This is the immediate benefit for the Timberwolves. Adebayo is a perfect replacement given his toughness and ability on both ends.
The Timberwolves have a promising young talent in Anthony Edwards and Herro could join in hopes of taking the rebuild to the next level. The NBA is centered around guard play and the Timberwolves could have two bright young stars.
Both D’Angelo Russell and Malik Beasley could also be on the move this offseason and this is where the replacements would come in.

Minnesota is still years away from competing but they can finally put the rebuild into hyperdrive with a trade such as this. It will be interesting to see which direction the franchise decides to go moving forward.
