3. Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors were the team originally mentioned in NBA trade rumors as who the Dallas Mavericks tried to trade Kristaps Porzingis to at the trade deadline. Dallas offered Porzingis to Golden State in exchange for Kelly Oubre Jr.
The offer was declined and is no longer possible. Oubre signed with the Charlotte Hornets, so even a sign-and-trade involving him is off the table. However, the Warriors could still swing a deal for Porzingis if they chose to pursue him.
Andrew Wiggins could be the centerpiece of the deal going back to Dallas. While he garnered a poor reputation for his time with the Minnesota Timberwolves, he showed signs of turning a corner with the Warriors. He is developing into a solid 3-and-D wing, something the Mavericks desperately need to help turn their defense around.
The Warriors would be a good landing spot for Porzingis because they have the pieces to overcome his deficiencies on the court. Defensively, Draymond Green would be able to cover for his lack of defense. Offensively, his floor spacing would make Golden State even deadlier, as teams are already busy chasing Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson around the perimeter.

Green and the presence of James Wiseman would also mean Porzingis does not have to spend much time at the center spot. He prefers playing power forward and the Warriors have the personnel to ensure that can happen.
