Does this trade make sense for the Washington Wizards?
The Washington Wizards have been near the bottom of the Eastern Conference for years. Behind the duo of Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal, they made a move toward the postseason and ended up as the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference.
They are still not that championship contender and could look to put the right pieces around Bradley Beal in order to climb the standings.
As bad as the Wizards have been for years, Beal has shown loyalty. He has not demanded a trade and has gone as far to say that he has no intention of leaving the Wizards. Washington has now traded two point guards but Beal has stayed in place.
If this is the plan for the future, Washington should look to balance the roster a bit more. Myles Turner would bring them a specific toughness on the defensive end of the floor. He is an improving scorer that can get it done in the post and is beginning to incorporate a bit of a jump shot.

With a strong backcourt like Spencer Dinwiddie and Bradley Beal, Myles Turner has a chance to develop as a player even further. Washington should see how the conference is a bit weak near the bottom and they should believe that they can compete for a postseason spot right away.
