The Milwaukee Bucks suffered a major loss when P.J. Tucker decided to sign with the Miami Heat. Tucker was an integral part of the team’s success as the defense he provided help get them an NBA title.

Milwaukee signed Semi Ojeleye away from the Boston Celtics hoping that he can bring some of the same defensive intensity to the table that Tucker did. If the Bucks want to have some more insurance to help replace Tucker, they should look into signing Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.

Before anyone points out that Hollis-Jefferson is only 26 so he may not ring chase, there are no age restrictions to chasing rings. The Los Angeles Lakers signed Malik Monk to a minimum deal this offseason coming off of his rookie contract and he is younger than Hollis-Jefferson.

The former Arizona product would bring the same defensive versatility and intensity that Tucker brought to the table. Hollis-Jefferson doesn’t have a 3-point shot to space the floor, but could still have a positive impact on his defense.
