Aron Baynes
The Milwaukee Bucks have the ultimate weapon when it comes to going small in Giannis Antetokounmpo. There aren’t many players better suited to play ‘small ball’ center than Antetokounmpo, who was routinely banging with Phoenix Suns’ center Deandre Ayton during the NBA Finals.
In addition to that, the Bucks also have a great starting center in Brook Lopez. Lopez has transformed his game throughout his career, turning into one of the best stretch-fives in the NBA. In addition to expanding his range offensively, Lopez has turned into one of the best defensive centers in the NBA as well.
Milwaukee has put together an excellent scheme on defense that Lopez plays perfectly. However, there is not much depth behind him. Retaining Bobby Portis was nice, but he is the only other player listed as a center on the roster.
While Antetokounmpo can fill in there during the postseason, the Bucks should not burn him out in the regular season doing that. Adding another veteran to the mix would make sense and someone such as Aron Baynes would fit the mold.

Baynes is a hard-nosed veteran that would help soak up minutes behind Lopez. He would provide some toughness and has also worked on expanding his game to be a stretch-five in recent years as well.
Baynes also has some playoff experience, so he knows what it takes to succeed in the postseason should he have to be used in a pinch.
