3. PG Ayo Dosunmu, Illinois

Arguably the biggest need for the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason is a point guard. Dennis Schroder could leave in free agency, and Alex Caruso is also on the market. While LeBron James essentially runs the offense, there is still a need for a point guard on the team.

Ayo Dosunmu would be a great target at No. 22 to help fill that void. Dosunmu is one of the older prospects projected to go in the first round, so he should be ready to contribute from Day 1, something that is necessary on contending teams.

Standing 6’5” with a 6’10.25 wingspan, Dosunmu will be able to defend both backcourt spots right away. He should be able to handle some wing players with that size as well.

The Illinois product is an excellent rebounding guard as well, something imperative to have when teams downsize.

The defense will be what he helps the Lakers with most as he continues honing his offensive game and jump shot.
