Los Angeles Lakers Receive: G Russell Westbrook
Washington Wizards Receive: F Kyle Kuzma, G Dennis Schroder (via sign-and-trade), G Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
It would unquestionably be exciting to watch a trio of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook on the floor together for the Lakers. Upon acquiring Westbrook, Los Angeles would be considered the favorites in the Western Conference — and rightfully so.
What Westbrook lacks in the shooting department, he makes up for in his playmaking ability and effort on the defensive end. The one thing that could cause hesitation for certain teams when it comes to trading for Westbrook is his massive contract.
Instead of Caldwell-Pope, maybe the Wizards would prefer to get a point guard in return for Westbrook. Dennis Schroder, along with Horton-Tucker, would need to agree to a sign-and-trade to allow this trade to occur.
The Lakers landed Dennis Schroder in a trade last offseason in hopes that he’d serve as the third option behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis. While he had his positive moments, he had plenty of negative moments — especially in the playoffs — that could cause Los Angeles to go in a different direction.

Once again, Kyle Kuzma is at the forefront of the deal as he hopes to carve out an expanded role somewhere that can give him more minutes than he’s gotten with the Lakers.
