Sacramento Kings Receive: F Kyle Kuzma, G Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and 2023 second-round pick
Los Angeles Lakers Receive: G Buddy Hield
The last trade offer that was conjured up is one that fans of the Lakers would welcome with excitement. The Kings are in a bind with Buddy Hield, as they drafted Tyrese Haliburton, and Buddy Hield could see a smaller role than he’d prefer.
As a result, Sacramento could look to move Hield this offseason, and Los Angeles would unquestionably be a team that makes perfect sense for him.
Alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers need more shooting and someone that can be a third scorer on the court. Hield provides them with both of those things, despite not playing the position that Los Angeles is looking for, which is a point guard.
Still, replacing Caldwell-Pope with Hield at the shooting guard spot would be a massive upgrade for the Lakers. And for the Kings, if they really want Kyle Kuzma via trade, they’ll sacrifice Hield and fill the void left behind by him by getting Caldwell-Pope in the trade.

Sacramento realizes they aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, so trading Hield could be a move to help the veteran guard play for a team that can compete for a title. At the same time, Kuzma is forced into becoming a marquee player for the Kings immediately.
